The two companies behind the acclaimed game Wanderer have officially joined forces to become Mighty Eyes.Based in Aotearoa (New Zealand), M Theory and Oddboy came together in 2016 to develop VR time travel adventure game Wanderer which took the VR world by storm when it launched earlier this year.Directors Eugene Eastlake, Ben Markby, Samantha Ramlu and Adrian Blok have been working with VR since its modern inception and Wanderer was a dream realized when the team partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2019.
They have a shared vision to create a studio at the forefront of VR, taking people on their greatest and most immersive adventures.Wanderer has recently been announced as a finalist for the VR Awards 2022 – VR Game of the Year. The announcement adds more good news for the Wanderer team on the back of their win just a few weeks ago at the NZ game awards the Pavs for the “Excellence in Visual Art” award.Mighty Eyes’ will continue working on its inaugural title Wanderer with more news to come later in the year.
