We’re an innovative indie game development studio crafting groundbreaking VR adventure games. Our project blends narrative-driven gameplay with combat, platforming, and mind-bending puzzles. We aim to immerse players in a visually stunning world filled with compelling challenges and a gripping and immersive story that pushes the boundaries of VR.

Role Overview.

We’re on the hunt for a skilled and imaginative Gameplay Programmer to bring our worlds to life. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing gameplay interactions and mechanics, ensuring they feel natural and responsive in VR. Proficiency in Unreal Engine, C++, and Blueprint is essential, as is a passion for crafting seamless player experiences.

Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and refine gameplay mechanics and interactions in Unreal Engine for VR.
  • Work closely with designers and artists to translate concepts into functional, engaging gameplay.
  • Implement game systems and features using a combination of C++ and Blueprint scripting.
  • Ensure smooth performance and responsiveness of gameplay mechanics in VR.
  • Debug, optimise, and iterate on gameplay systems based on feedback.
  • Collaborate with the broader development team to integrate gameplay seamlessly with narrative and art.

Qualifications :

  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in gameplay programming, with a focus on Unreal Engine.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Blueprint scripting for gameplay systems.
  • Strong understanding of VR gameplay design principles and interaction mechanics.
  • Ability to translate creative ideas into robust, functional code.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a team-first attitude.

BONUS POINTS :

  • Experience working on VR experiences or games.
  • Familiarity with physics-based interactions and haptics.
  • A portfolio showcasing interactive gameplay systems and mechanics.
  • Someone who regularly plays in VR and enjoys the technology.
