Role Overview.

We are looking for a skilled and inspiring Senior Programmer / Lead Programmer to guide our development team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping coding standards, maintaining core gameplay systems and tools, and ensuring builds and automation processes run seamlessly. A natural leader with a passion for collaboration, you will mentor your team and lead by example, fostering a culture of technical excellence and teamwork.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead and mentor a team of programmers, providing guidance, support, and fostering skill development.
  • Define and enforce efficient, maintainable, and performant coding standards.
  • Oversee the design and maintenance of core gameplay systems and tools, ensuring stability and scalability.
  • Manage and optimise build processes, automation, and deployment pipelines ensuring efficient production and delivery.
  • Collaborate with other leads to align technical and creative goals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges across the project.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate best practices into the development workflow.

Qualifications :

  • Ideally 4+ years of professional experience in game programming, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive experience and a deep understanding of Unreal Engine, including C++ and Blueprint.
  • Strong understanding of gameplay systems, tools development, and optimisation techniques.
  • Proven experience managing builds and automation pipelines.
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.

BONUS POINTS :

  • Experience in VR development and understanding of VR-specific technical challenges.
  • Experience working with a team taking a game from concept to launch.
